Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
I'm going to attempt to write about this movie without totally ruining it.
Perfume is the story of a man with an extraordinary ability. He has a very heightened sense of smell. Don't worry, you find that out right in the beginning.
The main plot is the story of this man as he embarks on his quest to make the ultimate perfume, but it comes at a high cost to the people of the city that he is staying in.
This is a very original story. Never seen anything like it before. It's a tad long, but it's worth it. Plus, the main actor, Ben Whishaw does an awesome job at protraying this character. He has very little dialogue, but he does an amazing job of using facial expression to convey what he wants, how he's feeling and what he's about to do.
This movie also stars Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman, who do an awesome job in their roles as well.
I definatly suggest this movie to anyone. It hovers on the edge of several genres, a little horror, a little action, suspense, and slight romance. Do it.
